About the Director

Hello!

     My name is David Will, and I'm the new band director at Juban Parc.

     I've been teaching and performing music for about 11 years. In total, I've spent around 8 years teaching, and 3 performing full-time. As a musician, I've gotten the opportunity to perform in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain, The UK, Germany, and all across the United States. I've met some really interesting people, and I've experienced things that I never could have experienced without music. 

      While I love to perform, I've always wanted to be a teacher. I told my parents that I'd be a band director when I was in the 5th grade. I love the band environment. I like helping kids navigate something new. I love seeing the light-bulbs go off, and I love seeing kids go on to do great things. I have former students who've been members of the Tiger Band at LSU. I have former students who perform full time now, and I even have former students who are band directors!

I look forward to getting to know everyone this year!
